Good light and price

I bought the fold 800 for 280 dollars and that's pretty good. Its bright for 800 watts too so that's awesome. The only thing is the spectrum just looks white. I'm using supplemental red lights so it doesn't really matter to me anymore, but all my other led grow lights besides this one other cheap one I found at a thrift store emit a more orange color and thats what we want.

What I did was bought the light without the control box thingy because that was even more money and we really didn't need to dim it anyways so we just bought it without any way to dim it, and then about a month later I'm on my phone looking at the website and looking at what it says about the light and I see the dimmer for sale at the bottom of the page for 10 bucks and the extension cord for 10 bucks so I could take the driver off if I wanted to and I bought those things immediately because honestly it is too bright on my eyes sometimes even with glasses on if I'm under that light but now I can dim it, and turn it off too! Because it doesn't have any buttons on it or anything so adding the dimmer is like adding a power button too like all the other grow lights we have from other companies.

So yeah, minus points for being just plain white looking, minus points for having to wait for them to invent a cheap dimmer and extension cord and for not using a proprietary cable, minus points for the lack of aluminum in the build. It's not enough. It gets hotter to the touch than our other led lights and they're more powerful than this one is!? It's because the other brand is heavy duty and they used a lot of metal and put big heat fins on it everywhere and everything. You get what you pay for, and heavy things are more expensive for a reason. Energy equals mass and all that. And even one aluminum can is worth money. But with the dimmer it's much cooler and it's not warm now.

I haven't plugged up the extension cord to mount the driver yet but I'm not concerned about that because I'm not using a tent and it's winter so I'm not concerned about the heat right now but maybe later. It's good to have the cord because I looked over the whole web for a cord like that. Like hours of searching.

So yeah, 300 dollars for the whole setup and now it's like our other lights now that dim, and have a long wire to move the driver. It's just that we had to put some more red lights in that area because it's not red enough. Red led are more expensive than white ones so to keep costs down for the consumers they don't use as many red ones. They've got a few red and they use orange ones and stuff but it's not enough red and orange. It's a decent light though. The plants love it even without the extra red ones we use. 4 out of 5 rating. It would have been 5 if it didn't have the aforementioned details I was talking about.

The other thing is that it's just covered in all kinds of mistranslated misspelled words and the manual didn't have much info besides how to set it up and on the site it says it's lifespan is greater than 30 thousand hours but I talked with the AI chat bot and it told me that it's actually greater than 50 thousand hours, not 30 thousand.... I don't know. I'm gonna say it'll last 7 years before it starts to get dimmer, maybe 10 years of I use the dimmer knob a little? That's not bad at all. That's great.

Love my new light. Had 400 watt light from who knows where. Now i got this 800. Leaves started praying. Plants chugging water. Light is the most importantly thing besides genetics. I will order another 800 soon. Dimmer arrives about 7-10 days later. Just to let you know.

I got the fold 800U on 11/26 which was the same day the girls started w4 flower. 1w later buds are bigger than my last go around in 5w with my other lights. It's in a 5x5 running it at 520w about 6-11" from tops. Controlled by Ac Infinity Rj11 adapter
